Investors look past growth scares and trade tensions to send equities to new record highs.

Equities

America
  • ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ S&P 500 rose 2.43% and recovered all of last weekโ€™s losses, almost closing at a new record high.
  • ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Nasdaq Composite surged 3.87% to 21,450, its highest ever weekly close. The index is now up more than 11% for the year.
  • ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Dow Jones Industrial gained 1.35% but has yet to break out to new all-time highs this year.
  • ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Russell 2000 rose 2.38% but didnโ€™t quite recover from last weekโ€™s big drop.
  • ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ TSX continued its wild uptrend with a 2.73% jump and its 9th weekly all-time high since early May.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝ IPC gained 2.06% and is once again approaching its all-time high levels.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท Bovespa rallied 2.62% for the week.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ท Merval closed with a 0.97% gain but had been up as much as 7% earlier in the week.

  • ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ STOXX 600 gained 2.11% to recover most of last weekโ€™s losses.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง FTSE 100 eked out a 0.3% gain for the week.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช DAX rallied 3.15% for the week and now sits just below its all-time high.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท CAC 40 gained 2.61% for the week but is still stuck within a sideways trading range.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ C25 recovered some of last weekโ€™s 8.6% drop with a 2.1% gain this week.

  • ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต Nikkei 225 rallied 2.5% to a new all-time high weekly close.
  • ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ Hang Seng rose 1.43% for the week.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Nifty 50 fell 0.82% and extended its losing streak to six straight weeks.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท KOSPI jumped 2.9% to a 4-year weekly closing record.
  • ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ผ TSEC gained 2.5% and surpassed its previous all-time high from July of last year.

  • ๐Ÿ’ฐ The DXY weakened by 0.43% and closed the week at 98.265.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ USD.EUR declined 0.43% to 0.859 EUR.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ USD.DKK closed the week at 6.41 DKK.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง USD.GBP dropped 1.31% and erased all of last weekโ€™s gains.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต USD.JPY eked out a 0.22% gain this week, closing at 147.703 JPY.
  • ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ USD.CNH inched lower by 0.06% this week.
  • ๐Ÿฅ‡ Gold gained 1.07% for the week to $3,398 per ounce, its second-highest weekly close on record.
  • ๐Ÿฅˆ Silver rallied 3.51% and closed the week at $38.317 per ounce.
  • ๐Ÿฅ‰ Copper rose 1.04% for the week.
  • ๐Ÿ† Bitcoin is up around 2% as of Saturday morning (CET), currently trading around $16,500.
  • The altcoin market has been on fire this week, up 11.5% on the back of a 19% rally in Ethereum (ETH). ETH touched $4,200 on Saturday, its highest level since 2021. Ripple (XRP) and Solana (SOL) are up 12% and 11% respectively.

  • ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ The US 2-year yield rose 2.23% to 3.762%, recovering some of last weekโ€™s losses.
  • ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ The US 10-year yield gained 1.64% to 4.285%.
  • ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ The US 30-year yield eked out a 0.62% gain and closed the week at 4.851%.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ The Euro 2-year yield jumped 3.75% to 1.962%, its highest level since March.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ The Euro 10-year yield rose 1.01% for the week.
  • ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ The China 10-year yield rallied early in the week but closed 0.58% lower at 1.7%.
  • ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ The China 30-year yield eked out a 0.31% gain for the week.

Other

  • The VIX plummeted 25.66% to 15.15 as last weekโ€™s growth scare and trade concerns seemed to dissipate.
